Exclusive: iOS 5b2 to reveal qTweeter like technology?

Developer debugger at Apple, Jake Behrens, known as @withfoam, on Twitter just tweeted “Hi. This is a tweet.” using iOS 5’s Twitter capabilities. You may think, okay? But this was not using a link. Currently, in iOS 5b1, you can only tweet with a picture or a link to a webpage. Which gives us reason to believe, iOS 5 will have some qTweeter type technology. That would be pretty awesome, considering qTweeter is like a haven to people who like tweeting alot. (Personally, give us free tethering, and I won’t jailbreak anymore!) So, what else would you want to see for the final release of iOS 5? Comments!

Battlefield 3!

Battlefield 3 sequel to 2005’s Battlefield 2 put’s you in the boots, pedals, and stick of a US Marine. Using DICE’s Frostbite 2 engine makes being in these positions look almost real! Us here at OTS can’t wait to get our hands on this game in Fall 2011! Recently DICE put out a gameplay video called Thunder Run. In this video the player takes control of Corporal Johnathan “Jono” Miller.of the 1st Marine tank battalion. The player is in an M1A2 Abrams Tusk. The US military’s main armored vehicle. You can see the graphic improvements from all past battlefields. It looks fantastic to say the least. You can see the openness of it all. As 2 AH-1Z attack cobra’s fly by you can hear the great audio the game has to offer. Towards the end of the video you can see a squad of Marines disembarking from an AAV-7 amphibious assault vehicle. This is giving us a great look at ANT, DICE’s movement software they took and tweaked to fit into Battlefield 3. This all looks great but you will have to decide for yourself Fall 2011.

Here’s the video!

Sebastiaan de With (otherwise known as @sdw on Twitter) tweeted

Apple rep in SF Stockton St. Store said ‘come Fall’ calls between iPhones (on all carriers) will be free. Is this true?

Is Apple planning to embed calling into iMessage in the final release of iOS 5?

A MacRumors reader was concerned about some Apple software so asked the following:

Q: Dear Mr. Jobs,
Will I need to find an alternative website builder and someone to host my sites?
I have invested a lot of time and effort and the thought of re-training sucks more than mobileme ever did.

A: Yep.
